I made it for the awkward combinations that built-in sharing tools miss: Windows to iPhone, Android to Mac, or any computer where you can't install an app.
It works for text too. I use it for links and short notes I would otherwise email to myself.
nowiretransfer uploads the file once, then the other device downloads it. Speed depends on both devices' internet connection. Bluetooth 5.0 is about 2 Mbps, so it can take much longer for a large file.
Cloud drives use the same upload-and-download pattern, but they're designed to keep files until you remove them. Here, the share is temporary and disappears at the expiry you pick.

Uploads and downloads use encrypted connections. Download links last a few minutes, and the files are deleted when the expiry you chose is reached. Don’t use the service as your only copy.
Uploads and downloads travel over encrypted HTTPS connections. Stored files are private and encrypted at rest. AES-256 is the block cipher standardised by NIST in FIPS 197.
A share isn't listed publicly. The server checks its 6-character code and expiry before creating a download link, and that link lasts five minutes. Pick an expiry of 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days. The files and text are deleted when that time runs out.
